Enjoy a quintessential Bluegrass weekend either as a staycation or a weekend away.
Arts Connect Bourbon and Butterflies in the Bluegrass is offering the opportunity to experience a little bit of everything the Lexington area is famous for – bourbon, horses, fine food, and arts and culture. Stay at the fabulous world famous 21c Museum Hotel; tour distilleries; sample fine bourbons and learn from the professionals how to be discerning; visit a magnificent local horse farm during foaling season – one that Queen Elizabeth II of England herself made a point to visit; partake of outstanding fare and hospitality; settle into best seats in the house for Puccini’s Madama Butterfly performed by the extraordinarily talented UK Opera Theatre, and wander through the Bluegrass Trust annual Antiques and Garden Show with your eye out for a bargain.
This weekend is designed to give the visitor a total Bluegrass Experience whether you live here or not!
